As of September 1, 2010 - Other benefits that can be purchased:

Death Benefit:

The basic policy provides for payment of $25,000 in the event of death resulting from an automobile accident of the Insured and Spouse and a payment of $10,000 for a dependant. It is possible to purchase a limit of $50,000 for Insured and Spouse and $20,000 for a dependant.

Dependant Care:

The basic policy does not provide coverage for employed persons who also care for dependants. Coverage can be purchased with a limit of $75.00 per week for the 1st dependant and $25.00 for each additional person up to $150.00 per week.

Funeral Benefit:

The basic policy provides for payment of $6,000 in the event of death resulting from an automobile accident.  It is possible to purchase an enhanced limit of $8,000.

Indexation:

As a optional benefit it is possible to purchased indexation (to cost of living) of limits applicable to the Income Replacement benefit, the standard caregiver and the caregiver portion of the optional coverage and the standard Medical, rehabilitation and attendant care benefits and all associated optional benefits.
